The world’s last Blockbuster is now open for slumber parties

If you’re a Deschutes County resident, Oregon, you could be hosting a slumber party at the last remaining Blockbuster video store in the world.

Blockbuster is located in Bend, Oregon, and it can be booked by households of up to four people for one of three nights available: 18, 19, or 20 September. Booking opens at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET today. A stay would cost $4 per night, according to the Airbnb listing.

Spending a night in the last vestige of an outdated franchise may sound like a morbid affair, but that looks pretty cool indeed. With a fold-out sofa, a beanbag chair, snacks, a TV set and (of course) a VHS player, the store manager Sandi Harding has decked the place out. Renters will have access to the full selection of films from the store, and are encouraged to wear “your favorite denim for the 90s.”

Do not worry, if you can’t snag a slot. The living room setup will be available to the general public for “a limited time” check-out during the hours of the store after the sleep was over.
