You surely know Dr. Disrespect: the mustached, mullet-wearing streamer who also happens to be the “most famous, dominant gamer in the world’s history.” Maybe you also want to know how his sick mullet and stache grew? Okay, you can: he is writing a memoir soon.

Violence. Again. Velocity. Instant. Arriving on 30th March 2021. The book is said to contain Doc’s reflections about what it’s like to be the greatest gamer in history while revealing “never-before-told tales” about his streamer career as well. Most importantly, Doc will finally have the opportunity to tell us how he became the “two-time, consecutive years, back-to-back, 1993-1994 Blockbuster video game champion” at a young but still mustachioed age. Speaking of Blockbuster, did you know it still exists, and it is holding COVID slumber parties?

The book is only the latest attempt by Herschel “Guy” Beahm to jump-start his expanding media empire. He inked a deal last year to create an animated TV show based on his character. Recently, Dr. Disrespect returned to streaming earlier this month, after being banned from Twitch. You just shouldn’t conclude that the book explains why he’s been banned. We still have no idea, and it is quite clear that nobody — not Beahm, not Disrespect, and not Twitch — would like to talk about it.
